Astraeus

Astraeus is a generic, modular platform for constellation engineering and trade studies. It brings orbital behavior, geometry, communications, mission delivery, spacecraft resources, and deployment campaigns into repeatable studies with structured inputs and reviewable results.

Use Astraeus to model a candidate system, compare design or operating choices, and explain the resulting engineering evidence.

The product overview explains current scope and status; product boundaries and support collects the precise platform, compatibility, licensing, and operating limits. The scientific validation section describes the evidence behind model claims.

The CLI and versioned RunSpec are the authoritative execution interface. The local Console covers common configuration and review workflows, while advanced options remain available through the RunSpec.

One Study, Several Engineering Views

Astraeus can combine:

  • constellation definition, orbit propagation, access, and coverage
  • communications link budgets, demand and service delivery, gateways, beams, inter-satellite links, routing, and transport KPIs
  • observation opportunities and delivery
  • attitude, power, and propulsion effects
  • grouped comparisons through sweeps and batches
  • deployment and rollout planning through campaigns
  • artifact-based inspection, plotting, review, and reporting

Capabilities are implemented to different depths. Communications and service analysis are among the deepest areas; other models range from focused engineering support to preview capabilities. See the relevant model page for assumptions and limits.

Get Started

  1. Read the product overview for scope, status, and terminology.
  2. Follow installation for a supported local setup.
  3. Complete a first core run, or start with a first campaign run.
  4. Choose a richer case from the Examples section.
